24 weeks!
It's been a long past few days! I have been fighting hard not to get sick! I was treated for the flu, but wasn't given a flu test. When you are pregnant they just put you on Tamiflu just to be on the safe side! I hate that medicine, I took one pill and quit. It made me feel awful and I have heard a lot of stories of children becoming belligerent on this medication as well as having nightmares that they think are real. UGH! Being pregnant is hard enough, but during flu season it's scary! I try so hard to put my trust in God because I trust him more than anyone and anything, but sometimes my mind gets the best of me. I have also opted against the swine flu shot after I have been saying I would get it. I just don't think enough testing has been done to say what it can do to pregnant women and the fetus. It just came out and it's so new. I just don't know! Even the FDA approved it but still said they weren't sure of the affects it could have on you if you were pregnant. I mean that is weird to me! My doctor said get it, but at the end of the day, I believe God will take care of me! I also believe he would take care of me if I got the shot. So I just had to choose one way or the other...No shot for me...Anyone else have thoughts on this?
The baby furniture should all be here sooner than later. The room will really start to come together then! Mom designed the bedding as well and we are just waiting on a quote from the people making it! That scares me a little bit! Whew! We went in last Thursday and I have still not gotten word about how much it would be. That's never a good sign. I have a feeling I may be taking some stuff off the bedding to make it cheaper, however mom and Cindy are paying for it. But still. Gotta be rational just a little bit! :-) I like to tell myself that I am. I try to be!

I was worried about getting the swine flu vaccine for the same reasons as you. But my doctor is very outspoken and blunt and basically told me I would be crazy if I didn't get it because my immunce system just doesn't work the same when I'm pregnant(and especially because they had literally gotten their shipment in minutes before I got there and they only received 20 of the 250 they ordered...so he said I would be the first and one of the few that would be able to get it from them until they got another shipment and they weren't sure when that would be). So I did end up getting it and I took Will to get one that day too. Both of us have been fine and haven't had any kind of reaction to it at all...and that was almost two weeks ago. But I still haven't been able to find the regular flu shot, so I'm just trusting that I will be protected from that one...and I'm using hand sanitizer A LOT.
Oh Kenley you guys are so talented! I know the finished product will be gorgeous! The H1N1 shot got to my dr's office a couple of weeks ago & Amber & I went together to get it... I'm like you I was really unsure about the whole thing. My dr. finally told me that it could also help Graham not to get it bc he would be exposed to the vaccine which will lower his chances after he's born. I am praying I made the best decision and I know God will protect me as well as he will you shot or no shot. Hope you are feeling all better!

I totally agree girls. Amber, Denae, Brandi...we are all pregnant and there is so much to worry about. You just can't worry! I believe we are all in the best hands possible! With Amber being a teacher, I would def have gotten it! The good thing is I can work from home! My doctor said the same thing about the baby having extra protection and I did like that idea! He probably thinks I am crazy! Good choice though, I may end up getting it anyway! Haha! I have never sat so much on the fence in my life!
