A big change...

Well this post, as well as most of the others, is for me to look back on. Like this one, not many people are going to care that I chopped my hair off, but I DO! This was a huge thing for me because I haven't had my hair short since about junior high! I have heard when women get pregnant they do crazy things, and this was it for me. I went in to get my hair trimmed and I left with about a ton of inches cut off of it. Heather, that does my hair, was like Kenley I don't know if I can do this. She knows how much my hair means to me and she said she would cry if I hated it. Well I told her my hair was growing especially fast and that it would be okay a little past the shoulders. Well we ended up going a bit shorter than that but I really love it. I was so happy when I left and I felt like a new woman! She does such an awesome job and the good thing was with all that hair cut off my hair is especially healthy and shiny now! Cutting off all the dead can do some good!

Anyway, I get home and Nate doesn't even say anything. I sort of swing it around a couple of times and he said, "Your hair smells good." Really, it smells good. Then he said, "Oh yea you got it cut today huh?" Haha! Nate is usually SO SO SO observant and notices anything! He can even tell if I have a new shirt on. He will ask if it's new or it it's been in my closet for a year with the tags on it and I've finally decided to wear it? I don't make a big deal out of this hair thing and I go in the backyard and sit in my chair to read my book before going out to eat. When he gets outside he finally is like whoa you really chopped your hair off huh? He finally noticed I guess when the light was right. :-) Maybe he just figured my hair looked the same because I always do the same thing and he has never seen me with short hair!! Long story short, he liked it and said it made me look older. Being only 26 I can't get mad at that comment yet. I said THANKS!

I will post a little before and after picture! Just so I can remember that on that day, I chopped my hair off when I was pregnant and my baby book specifically told me not to. Why it said don't chop your hair off while pregnant I will have no idea. It just said not too because many women think it's a great idea and then they freak out! As if they don't have enough to worry about. Speaking of babies, I am doing great and in 3 days I will have finished out my first trimester and I am SO excited! It's like hello energy and feeling good! Finally!! I find out on September 18 boy or girl! YAY! Anybody want to take a guess? For my baby book it asks for what my friends guessed. It's cool we get to find out on Nate's birthday! What a present! We got to see the baby on mine and find out the sex on his! God has really blessed us this year! Thanks God! Hope all of you having to go back to school are ready and have a great year! Summer flew by way too fast!

I think it's a boy too just because people are buying girl stuff! Haha! That always happens!

you look great! i chopped my hair off on my birthday, when I was 25 weeks pregnant, and it's the best thing I've done for myself yet. Why did I wait so long?? I'm so glad you're feeling so well too :)

haha i chopped my hair off 3 weeks before Cooper was born! But I mean short....like kate holmes!!! the girl didn't want to do it for the same reason...said that pregnant women don't really know what they want...haha...it turned out cute but i still ended up letting it grow out so I could pull it up in a pony tail....i was a lazy new mom!!
