I was SO excited when I saw this movie was coming out! I read the book a while back (Jodi Picoult is amazing by the way) and I LOVED it. I think it read it in like two days. So Sheree and I went today and saw the movie and cried the entire time! If you go see this movie, take the kleenex and lot's of it. One will NOT be enough. This movie just really made me so much more thankful for my health and blessings! Everyone should go see this movie, the girls at least. I went without Nathan because I knew it wasn't the type of movie he would like. He doesn't like sad movies period, much less about little kids having cancer. He can't really stomach the idea of kids being sick. I can't either but I really did enjoy the movie, because I don't just see it as the girl being sick, but I get other things out of the movie as well. SO, go see it! You will love it! There will most likely be no dry eyes in the place!
While I am talking about the movies, Sheree and I went last week to see the movie "UP" and I cried through the entire cartoon as well. I just could NOT believe they made a cartoon so sad for little kids to watch. I won't start pointing it all out, but just the situations in the movie were so sad! :-( It might have a little bit to do with the fact Papa passed away not too long ago and I think of my grandparents, but STILL! So so so sad!
Not much else to report. I have taken up tennis again, my long lost sport from the 90's. Haven't seriously picked up a racquet since junior high was over. I might have played a couple of times in college, but nothing serious. I must say, I am doing pretty good. Sort of like riding a bike, just got to keep practicing! Certainly a wonderful workout! Can't wait to challenge Nate on the court. He sure does think he is better than me...Typical!

I read the book awhile back and have NO desire to see the movie...the book was too sad for me.
Have you read Same Kind Of Different As Me? I just read it on our vacation and I think you would really like it!
I have heard at least three people tell me I need to read the book Same Kind of Different As Me. I think I will go get it! Is it sad?
And yes, the movie was so so so sad! It's very touching though! I will let you know what I think of this book, I have been needing a new one!
Well, I went to see My Sister's Keeper tonight...after I said I had NO desire to see it. :) But my girlfriends wanted to see it and I didn't want to be the party pooper. haha. I actually thought it was better than the book...and I didn't shed a tear. It was a close call though...I think I was able to hold it together because I knew what was coming.
Anyway, Same Kind Of Different As Me is a little sad. It took awhile for me to get into it and I still didn't really like it about halfway through, but I ended up really liking it overall. I don't have time to read very often...so I think that makes me a very picky reader.
